Island House Check provides property watch services for people who want someone professional and trustworthy to check on their home while they're away. Everyone's needs are different and we customize our inspections to suit each individual situation. You tell us what you want checked and how often and then leave the rest to us. We can perform routine checks on numerous interior and exterior items for both proactive and reactive maintenance. Visits to your home can include as requested:

• Check on general condition of entire home interior
• Check that all windows and doors are locked
• Assure proper functioning of alarm system
• Maintain home temperature
• Conduct interior/exterior pest control inspection
• Make sure all lights are off or as indicated
• Check on general condition of entire home exterior
• Inspect yard for upkeep and irrigation

After each visit you will always be notified by email or phone of our findings if any. Digital photos can be included where needed.

STORM WATCH SERVICE

We can visit your home after any severe weather and inspect for possible damage due to high winds, fallen trees or heavy rains. You will be notified immediately if anything requires your attention. We can organize the storm cleanup and any repairs if needed so that your driveway is clear and any problems are fixed before you arrive. Our phone number may also be given to neighbours for emergency purposes.

We can recommend credible contractors for your repairs and/or home improvements. We can also co-ordinate and advise you when the work is complete.

 

THE COST

The price for our house check service is based on location and number of inspections. Monthly rates are available for absentee homeowners. A written estimate will be provided after we meet with you to discuss what your needs are.
